A beautiful city full of hilly terrain surrounded by artificial lakes. Hyderabad is the largest city in the state of Telangana established in 1591 by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah and shaped by Mughals and Nizams. From movie buffs to foodies, from shopping maniacs to people having a keen interest in architectural designs, Hyderabad is a one-stop place to visit for all. Charminar, Golconda Fort, Salar Jung Museum, and many more such creative old crafts add to the glory of this city. The contrast of the grand past and modern people makes this city worth visiting. Here are some amazing places to visit in Hyderabad:

 

CHARMINAR

 

The Charminar is an Indo-Islamic architecture with some Persian elements made of granite and limestone, lies near the bank of river Musi, built by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shahi to celebrate the end of a deadly plague. The circumscribing Laad Bazaar and the more than 400 years old mosque on the top floor of Charminar make it famous amongst locals as well as the tourists.

 

GOLCONDA FORT

 

Golconda Fort is a fortified and sturdy citadel and was an early capital city of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. Later, flourished as a diamond trade center and also produced some of the world's most famous diamonds, including the colorless Koh-i-Noor. Golconda is officially listed as an archaeological treasure in the ‘list of monuments’ by the Archaeological Survey of India.

 

HUSSIAN SAGAR LAKE.

 

Hussain Sagar is a beautiful heart-shaped lake in Hyderabad, spread across an area of 5.7 square kilometers and is fed by the River Musi. Things which make Hussain Sagar lake an absolute beauty are : 

The 18-meter high monolithic statue of Lord Buddha carved by 200 sculptors for two years.

Lumbini Park spread across 7.5 acres with various attractions such as laser auditorium, boating facilities, and musical fountains.

Magnificently built, white marble temple - Birla Mandir.

 

RAMOJI FILM CITY.

 

Ramoji film city is certified by the Guinness World Records as the largest studio complex in the world spread across 1666 acres of land. It attracts tourism as people can visit the film sets, theme parks, amusement rides with 2 hotels, and 47 sound stages inside the film city. Ramoji film city was also rented by Hotstar-Disney for 3 years.

 

SNOW WORLD

 

Ocean Park Multitech Ltd. is India's first and the biggest in the world and was only the third such snow park after the ones in Malaysia and Singapore. 2400 visitors per day can explore different facilities such as kid’s snow play area, snow wars, snow tube slide, sleigh slide, ice-bumping cars, merry-go-round, and an ice skating rink. The entire park is made up of artificial snow made using patented technology from Australia.
